Project description

The STIC project contributes to changing social norms, reducing corruption in both public and private sectors, enhancing trust and promoting incentives to move out of the shadow and black economy in the agri-food and construction sectors in Moldova. The project focuses on building genuine and change-oriented dialogues between SMEs (incl. business associations) and public sector actors, especially in areas not covered by other donors.

Job description

The Business Analyst will bring private sector experience, supporting the facilitation activities by articulating a business perspective, where needed, that includes growth into domestic and international markets as well as experiences with digital solutions. The Business Analyst contributes to integrating private sector perspectives, especially from SMEs, effectively into the dialogue and change processes. This includes identifying business compliance challenges and ensuring relevance to local and international markets.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support facilitation efforts by providing private sector insights.
  • Analyze barriers to SME compliance and integration into formal markets.
  • Facilitate business development dialogues with a focus on value chains and compliance.
  • Identify and disseminate best practices for SME growth and integrity.
  • Foster connections between SMEs and multinational companies for supply chain inclusion.
  • Support the Team Leader as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in private sector development in Moldova.
  • Comprehensive experience in regulatory compliance and business development.
  • Solid understanding of international value chains and integration of SMEs into supply chains of international companies.
  • Adept at informing discussions with examples of best practices in business development and compliance, as well as experiences with digital solutions.
  • Neutral, impartial and non-partisan poise.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and strong facilitation and moderation skills.
  • Fluency in Romanian and English. Working knowledge of Russian is an asset.
