The “Sustainable Blue Economy Initiative in Mozambique (ProsperAzul)”, co-financed by the EU and BMZ and implemented by GIZ under the VaMoz Competir component, aims to strengthen competitiveness in selected blue economy value chains such as tilapia aquaculture, sea salt, and seaweed cultivation. The project supports climate-smart, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth by enhancing fisheries and aquaculture value chains, improving the performance of MSMEs and smallholder producers, and increasing their access to financial services and markets. The overall objective of the initiative is to enhance Mozambique’s climate-smart, resilient, and inclusive economic growth through the promotion of an inclusive and sustainable blue economy.
The Team Leader will oversee the implementation of advisory services and capacity-building activities in the selected blue economy value chains, ensuring alignment with GIZ methodologies, national partners, and project goals.
