On 9 October, GFA’s head office in Hamburg-Volksdorf once again welcomed a high-profile political visitor: Dr Andreas Dressel, Senator for Finance of the Hanseatic City, brought himself up to date on the company’s work.

More than 1,700 staff members, working on over 700 active projects in 135 countries – that’s GFA GROUP in figures. Since the summer of 2025, the group of companies has been reorganising itself: with GFA Holding acting as the strategic control centre and service provider for all members of the group, as well as adopting a new brand identity. 

This summer, GFA says goodbye to another long-serving member of its leadership team, as Dr Daniel Wahby retires. Over the course of 25 years, Wahby held numerous management positions, shaping the organisation at both the departmental and technical level. 

On 18 June, GFA B.I.S. hosted the second SunSystems User Day at its offices in Berlin. For our clients in the not-for-profit sector, the event focused primarily on sharing experiences and insights related to SunSystems.

In April, Christian Dürr joined the management team of GFA Consulting Group GmbH and its parent organisation, GFA Holding AG.

“How can we make even better use of our shared strengths in an increasingly complex environment?” With this key question in mind, the managing directors of GFA GROUP and sector department heads of GFA Consulting Group gathered in Hamburg in March.

For the management of Projekt-Consult, the turn of the year also marks a generational change. 

Software company TolaData GmbH is leaving GFA GROUP and becoming part of Athena Infonomics. A corresponding purchase agreement was signed on Monday in Berlin.

The current challenges in international cooperation require strong players with a wide range of skills – players such as GFA GROUP: a globally active coalition of ten companies.

With its growing network of regional hubs, GFA Consulting Group is strengthening its presence closer to projects and partners.
