Job description
The Senior Culture & Arts Specialist leads the cultural, artistic and partnership-related components of ARCH, ensuring high-quality, equitable and inclusive collaboration between Danish and African cultural actors.The role bridges program implementation, cultural expertise, learning and public diplomacy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead outreach and engagement with Danish and African cultural actors
- Support partnership facilitation, matchmaking and collaboration building
- Contribute cultural expertise to appraisal and selection processes
- Coordinate cultural events, learning activities and strategic dialogue
- Support embassies in cultural programming and public diplomacy initiatives
- Contribute to learning products, case studies and reporting
- Ensure inclusion, diversity and equal partnership principles are embedded
Qualifications
Mandatory requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Proven experience working with cultural actors and institutions
- Danish language proficiency at C1 level
- English language proficiency at C1 level
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently
Wishes/Asset
- At least 5 years of experience managing or supporting cultural cooperation programs
- Experience working in several African countries, preferably within ARCH countries
- Experience building collaborative relationships with African cultural institutions
- Experience with Danish cultural institutions or cultural sector
- Experience facilitating multi-national workshops and cultural platforms
- Experience synthesizing and communicating program results and lessons learned
- French language proficiency at C1 level
