Project description
The project aims to recruit a Local Fund Agent (LFA) to provide independent oversight of Global Fund grants in Cabo Verde. It focuses on ensuring the effective implementation of programs targeting HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and health systems strengthening.
The LFA is responsible for verifying financial management, program performance, and data quality across all stakeholders. The overall objective is to ensure transparency, accountability, and value for money in the use of Global Fund resources.
Job description
The Junior Finance Expert supports the Finance Expert in delivering accurate and timely financial assessments, contributing to data review, reporting, and analysis
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in reviewing financial records, budgets, and reports
- Support verification of financial data accuracy
- Contribute to financial deliverables and reporting
- Assist in assessing financial systems and controls
- Ensure compliance with Global Fund procedures
- Provide analytical and administrative support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance and accounting
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of local accounting systems
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Based in Cabo Verde
- Experience in Cabo Verde is required
- Proficiency in Portuguese and French is required
- At least an intermediate level of English is required
